If you’ve read any of my posts prior to this one then you probably know that my girlfriend Bonnie is a big fan of UFC, especially the fighter Chuck Liddell. I myself am a fan of mixed martial arts fighting and just fighting in general. While browsing an online fight video site that I frequent, I came across a vicious fight (the last listed one) between a man and a woman. This reminded me of a few other flicks that I had seen online.

Before you go all getting bent out of shape and tell me that it is horrible to see a man fighting a woman, please know that I did not organize these fights. I just think that watching them is interesting. In fact, I think that anything which challenges stereotypes and makes you step outside your normal boundaries is a good thing. Also, these are not videos of “women being beat up by men.” These are women who are willingly and consciously fighting against a male opponent. With all that being said: I bring you, without further ado:

The Top 5 Men VS Women Fighting Videos Online

DISCLAIMER: these videos contain real footage of actual human combat. As such, they may be unsuitable for some viewers and possibly NSFW (depending on where you work I guess).

  • Irma Verhoef vs Marc Gefferie
    This particular video includes an enthusiastic introduction for both fighters in, what looks to be, a pretty packed arena in the Netherlands. The fight itself is impressive with a lot of evident Muay Thai striking with some Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu style ground work.
  • Lucia Rijker VS Somchai Jaidee
    You may recognize Lucia Rijker as Billie ‘The Blue Bear’ from the 2004 hit movie Million Dollar Baby. This is a Muay Thai style fight with excellent foot and feet work from both contenders.
  • Blonde Woman VS The Mustached Man
    This looks to be an amateur cage fight with kickboxing rules. Once the fight starts the action starts and doesn’t even take a breather until the fight is over.
  • Stefan Raab vs. Regina Halmich
    This one first caught my attention as the original link I found said that it was Chuck Liddell, who my girlfriend adores, fighting a woman. Indeed, the blurry version of this video with the audio from another fight (link) did look a tad bit like Chuck. But I knew this couldn’t be so. After a bit of digging my suspicion was confirmed. In true Andy Kauffman style, it turns out it is German T.V. personality Stefan Raab in a rematch against the amazingly talented boxing champion Regina Halmich. She broke his nose in 2001. You’ll have to watch the video to see how this rematch in 2007 turned out.
  • Green Shirted Woman VS Bald Man
    This is the intense fight I spoke of earlier which originally sparked this post. This particular video is from Rio Heroes. Rio Heroes has quickly gained popularity with its brutal, live, online fights. The rules are vale tudo style which means that anything goes. This is an intense fight from start to finish and includes striking, grappling, and submission attempts.

    It’s a matter of serious dedicated athletes having the personal freedom to sign a contract and to choose and fight the oponents of their choice.

    In my opinion, they should not be badmouthed for it. It takes guts to get into a ring in public-regardless of whom you are fighting.

    And for women over a certain weight, it is often diificult to find female opponents.

    FTI: The blond fighting in the cage is Sunshine Fettkether.
    her opponent is Randy Pittman. the fight was in
    arizona several years ago.
    Mr Pittman demaned a rematch in Las Vegas but the Nevada
    commission would not permit it.
    I Dont know why they dd not remacth in Arizona at the original venue.

    i dont understand the ending of the match with irma and marc. it looked like it was stopped when he raised his arm because she was doing something with her leg. then they started again and stopped a few seconds later. did she win or he? he looked like he would win on points. was that a submission? iim confused. please clarify. thanks.

    although it takes guts to enter the ring in a public venue no matter who you fight. you cant overlook the fact that it takes a a bigger brain to avoid it. especially if its an obvious mismatch. for some older ordinary man 20 years older than a top female pro to enter the ring against her does not take guts as much as it takes a lack of a brain to do it. especially if you know you do not have the same training and experience in the same style. also that pittman guy who fought an experienced female kickboxing champ was simply stupid. not so much guts, as no brains. if you are not equally experienced and trained and close to the same age and size then its simply all nonsense and pointless.

    Thanks for posting these! I hope more male vs. female fights keep showing up. I think the number sexists out there are repulsing and it does feel great to see women and men fighting it out like a man would fight a man or a woman to a woman.

    It is obviously Randy Pittman was drunk and it looks like he even don’t know how to fight at all. Besides he’s much much older of his opponent.
    Is this match with a professionaly trained female kickboxer was legal? Anyway, this “show” smells disgusting!

    Randy Pittman looked like he is already prepare to lose before the fight.
    That’s ridiculous!
    Relating to Stefan Raab vs. Regina Halmich fight, it’s easy to note that Stefan punches Regina intentionally not too hard. Even softly. And he is smiling after he gets Regina’s punches.
    It is a show that has been paid by some feminist organization! LOL

    I’ve long had a deep interest in watching female boxing/martial arts fights and also mixed (male/female) fights.

    I don’t understand whay I like to watch these videos, but I know where my interest started. It was at high school when I watched two female students fighting after school. I was captivated to see one girl dominating over the other girl. I watched keenly as she took a dozen or more belly punches, doubling over and taking a few breast punches. It was exciting to watch and the climax of the fight was totally spellbinding as the dominating girl finished the fight with three knees to the other girl’s genital area.

    Since videos and the internet, I have watched female/female and female/male boxing/martial arts fights and other types.

    I feel like the first two videos are legit, although Marc Gefferie lacks real grappling experience. I’m not impressed with the third and fourth video at all. Stefan Raab is a tv personality and the mustached man clearly has no fighting experience. Anything less than a convincing victory from Sunshine or Regina would have been truly lame.

    Anyone who thinks women can hang with men in 95% of physical contests is an absolute moron who is woefully lacking in awareness. The sports are divided by sex for a reason. If men and women compete in basketball or football or baseball, fighting, or anything physical then there would be no women getting paid for competing in sports. I have seen some women ( very rarely) who could beat a decent amount of men at some things though. If you compare female Olympic athletes performances to men’s performances then anyone with a brain can see in most things there is no real comparison. I am not knocking women, they are better than men in some things, but for the most part PHYSICAL things are not one of them

Men fighters are not allowed to fight woman fighters because they are physiqually stronger, faster etc. While on the other hand this is EXACTLY the reason why they DID allow this top trained pro woman kickboxing champ to fight a way smaller untrained random old man with zero fighting expereince. This was a show for her to beat this old man up for the entertainment. Disgusting.

    how was the ligeal ? they do NOT allow man and woman fighters to fight each other because man are physiqually stronger, faster while for the EXACT same reason they DID allow this top trained pro woman kickboxer who was bigger, stronger WAY more athletic to fight and beat a smaller untrained random old man up just for the “show”. This is disgusting. Would they let her fight Mike Tyson ? I don’t think so.

    Actually, none of the women really won. In the first one, it looked like the guy was actually winning but they said it resulted in a draw. In the second one, the guy actually won and he also knocked out the woman. The rest are obviously set up.
